A pioneer in sound since 1982 whose range in music includes R&B/Soul, funk, hip-hop, disco, deep house, techno, new wave, break beats, and acid jazz. Alberto Z. Martinez has played countless house parties in Dallas and numerous clubs & events all over the Southern United States. Past event performances include: Envision (Chattanooga, TN,) Splank (Mobile, AL), Wild Planet (New Orleans, LA), Hallucination (Pensacola, FL), Massiv (Dallas, TX), Fidelity (Dallas, TX), Space Rodeo (Dallas, TX), Void (Dallas , TX), Prana (Dallas, TX), Southern Junktion (Denton, TX), and all the Lake Whitney, TX gatherings. Alberto has owned and managed nightclubs in Florida and has had a great influence in the underground scene in the US. From 1995-1997, he was manager/owner of the Liquid Lounge & Gen-X Records (a dance venue & retail record/clothing store located in Pensacola, Florida). As an artist and promoter he has worked with: Sandra Collins, Jimmy Van Malleghem, Baby G, Sean Cusick, Scott "Brick" Briquelet, Chris Fortier, DJ Three, Dave Trance, Kazell, Dan EFEX, Stryfe, Oktane, Liquid Method, Faust & Shortee, Mark Foster, Starbaby, Chris Domingo, DJ Evil Dee, DJ Excel, Astroboy, Huda Hudia & Dave London, Dave Cannalte, James Meadows, Mike Orozco, DJ Kise, Simply Jeff, Keith Pillers, Ani (of DeeLite), Hipp-E, CyberJive, Chris Harshman, Boyd Westerman, Atnarko Bear, Misha, Jay Winborn, Markie (Wicked Crew), DJ Feelgood, J-Luv, Kimball Collins, DJ Chang, Shaheen, DJ Monk, Trevor Lamont, and "Little" Louie Vega (MAW). To date, you can find him playing at various one-off events or broadcasting his weekly syndicated internet radio show. Azm is a local Dallas talent not to be missed. |
